From the first hilal to Eid
Every night ends at the Maghrib adhan. The sun sinking behind the minaret is your clock — and the menu, the crowds and the story grow with the moon.
Nights 1–7
Harira, dates and boiled eggs. The derb comes out of pity at first. Add a slice of lemon from night 3.
Nights 8–14
Bright lights, loud music. A flashy snack stall opens and steals the impatient ones. Msemen hits the griddle, then mint tea, honey and harcha.
Nights 15–21
Whole families — and the cousins back from Europe — want the real thing. Big orders. Chebakia, filled msemen and batbout join the menu.
Nights 22–30
The last week, the full ftour table and the biggest crowds the street has ever seen.
Night 27
Night 27. Zoubida feeds everyone for free, for mama. Count the people fed.
Thirty nights later, a story told night by night comes home.
